September 2009 // Truefly SLA Reel reviews
The new truefly SLA reel recently launched, has received some fantastic reviews in the press. After winning the ‘Best New Fly Reel for 2009’ award at Efftex, the Truefly SLA recently received a ‘Trout & Salmon MUST BUY’ accolade and a rave review in Trout Fisherman. Both of these reviews are provided below for you to read at your leisure.
The reel will be available to buy from the 10th October – contact your nearest retailer to order the lightest cassette reel on the market.

August 2009 // Summer product update
The new Truefly SLA Reel has been released. The Truefly SLA has the largest Arbor and is the lightest reel in its class*, a seemingly unachievable feat. The lightweight design is attained by using a die-cast aluminium frame & cage with as much material removed as possible without compromising on the engineered functionality.
*At time of going to print, the truefly SLA is the lightest die-cast #7/8 cassette reel fly reel with an arbor above 95mm. The 106mm arbor of the truefly reel is also the largest in the die-cast #7/8 cassette reel market, for optimum line retrieve & memory reduction.
April 2009 // Spring product update
Some changes across the Wychwood Game website have been made. Currently our Reels and Waders sections have been closed, and will re-open soon with brand new products. We have added some new products, which you can see below.
A brand new Wychwood Game Rod, the Truefly Salmon has been released.
We have two new items of clothing including the Truefly Overtrousers and Truefly Cap.
We also have a new range of Tippet and a brand new Competition Box.
October 2008 // Brand new product ranges
A brand new Wychwood Game Rod, the Aura has been released.
Three new additions to the Truefly rod range have been added.
We have also released some new ranges of clothing including the Truefly jacket, Truefly shoftshell fleece, Truefly Vest and the new Signature shirt.

May 2008 // New product updates!
This month sees the launch many new products first up are two new rod ranges. Following the success of the Truefly rods, Wychwood game has now unveiled a new range of spinning and bait fishing rods in the Truespin and Truebait. Mirroring the cosmetics of the Truefly range the rods portray a stunning, high quality of design finish with superb tailored actions. Due for release mid-June 2008.
The Vuefinder is our new clear lid concept fly box, made from clear high density Polycarbonate lids which provide fantastic durability, handling and water resistance when coupled with the rubber seals. They are available in two sizes with various options of foam inserts. Due for release mid-June 2008.
A new fantastic range of eyewear has also made its way to market: featuring six unique polarised sunglasses designed here in Redditch, England. Due for release at the end of May 2008.

After the recent appointments to the Leeda product development team and a renewed company focus on design and innovation, one of the first products to be developed under this new team strategy is the Truefly rod.
The Truefly is a stunning new range of stillwater trout fly rods by Wychwood, one of the premium brands owned by Leeda. The rod is created combining a careful blend of multi-modulus carbon delivering smooth loading but fast recovering blanks with high quality in design finish. Aimed at the serious fly angler in pursuit of real value for money without the compromise on quality.
